Whilst I was looking for plant hangers for my house, I came across some tutorials on how to make your own so I thought I'd give it a shot and it was surprisingly easy.
It turns out that fancy-sounding Macramé is just tying knots - I can do that.
As I didn't have string in the house I used Boodles jersey cord in grey from Hobbycraft which worked brilliantly. After cutting the lengths it took me just 20 minutes to make.
I then found a rounded bottom plant pot (the tutorial suggests a bowl but this worked jut as well) and added a £2 spider plant *smug feeling
Did You Know - As well as being very easy to take care of, the Spider Plant is one of the best air-cleaning plants you can have in your home, which is good news for London homes. Here's a great article on air cleaning houseplants.
I'm sharing the instructions from the lovely Garden Therapy website here as you might like to have a go too. It's a very satisfying and simple way to accessorise your home interiors.
