What is an Interior Design Consultation and do I need one?
If you are looking to make changes in your home and are not sure what could, should or can be done to a space, what colours to use or even where to go for the perfect furniture and accessories, then this is where a Consultation is invaluable, and yes you need one.
- The Process -
The usual process for our Design Consultation will be for a designer to visit you in your home or business premises, for one to two hours to get to know you and to understand the architecture and existing spaces in order to evaluate and discuss your wants, needs and the possibilities for each room.
- The Benefits -
Our designer will help you to make the next steps towards your renovation by assessing the feasibility of your existing ideas and wish-lists and advising you on the processes for building work and refurbishments. Most importantly our designer will come up with new ideas and changes that you maybe hadn't considered. This professional input opens up many more options and will ensure that a room is transformed and elevated to its' most stunning potential.
- The Outcome -
Seeking out advice from the very beginning can mean that you avoid the obvious design tropes and save money in the long term by avoiding costly mistakes such as using inappropriate materials, buying ill-fitting furniture or mis-ordering anything from tiles to window treatments. So you should definitely take on professional advice to be sure that your project gets off to the best start.
How much does an Interior Designer cost?
At The Open Plan our consultations start at £110 per hour and we usually recommend a two hour meeting. Do contact us for a free 15 minute chat with any questions about the service and to book an appointment.
