1. Solomon and Wu bespoke surfaces for table tops, cupboard fronts, panels etc. employ a system that melts pigments and metals together which are then sanded back to reveal all it's beautiful, natural layers.

2.Valchromat at James Latham is a wood fibre panel (AKA the new MDF) which is coloured throughout, so no need for painting and is engineered for high physical performance. The fibres are individually impregnated with organic dyes and chemically bonded by specifically developed resins to give the panels their special properties. Perfect for kitchens and wardrobes.

3. Wooden Shingles at James Latham. Interior and exterior walls can be clad in these fairytale, scandi-look wooden tiles which offer a tactile, natural and hard-wearing wall of interest.

​4. Giant concrete tiles in 12 colours and 6 sizes for speedy cladding or flooring without a costly concrete pour. Lay standard squares for a minimal look or create a unique, bespoke pattern by mixing colours and shapes.

5. Aboriginal artworks from Bay Gallery, transferred onto wallpaper. Beautiful trad dot paintings, which on closer inspection contain several colours from which to start from or match your interiors to. Impressionistic with a Art Brut/Outsider Art sensibility.

6. Plywood at Koskisen is coloured, routed, peg boarded and ply combo-ed (pictured). With Plywood being a fashionably affordable construction material this company is trying out all the options.

7. Recycled material tiles and worktops from Alusid. The ingenious mix of recycled waste, glass, ceramic and minerals makes tiles and slabs with no two the same due to the unique formation and colourcast each piece takes on. A stunning and Eco way to decorate in an infinite palette of colours including high sheen metallics.

8. Scorched wood (various) The new black, the new wood cladding. Take the black exteriors of Dungeness cottages and combine with the rough beauty of wood to get a beautifully tough and tactile surface indoors and out. Blackened by fire and hardened with natural acids for a rustic and eye-catching cladding solution.

9. Terrazzo Resin Conglomerate (catchy name) from Innerspace can be any RAL colour and backlit which I could use to great effect in a bath or kids room.
